Punkt AC02 Awarded "Best Way to Wake Up" in the Monocle Design Awards 2023
We are delighted to announce that the Punkt. AC02 was selected as one of the winners of the esteemed third annual Monocle Design Awards 2023, which awards 50 designs – not just products – chosen from all corners of the globe for their life-enhancing qualities. The AC02 analogue clock, designed by Jasper Morrison and hand-assembled in Japan, was prized for "Best Way to Wake Up". There is a refreshingly broad range of people and projects among the prizes, from architecture and urban planning to graphic design and furniture production. There is such a variety that we seriously recommend you take a peek, as there is bound to be something there that you haven’t seen before but that oozes with excellency. We were honoured to be beside our compatriot Victorinox, whose prize was for the Most Practical Tool with the Replica 1897 – there were a total of six Swiss nominations - and amongst companies of excellence like Leica and the uber-cool e-bike manufacturer Cake. We are incredibly grateful to Monocle’s editors for searching high and low to help us discover some truly inspiring projects which we would never have come across without their sharp lens on the global design industry, for example, Leach Botanical Gardens by Land Morphology, USA; Localworks, Uganda; and fantastic non-profit community connector Mobile Makers and the stunning pavilions by Norwegian Architects, Snøhetta.
P.S. We cannot wait to add that Harry Thaler Trophy to the Punkt. Library as it doubles up as a paperweight!
